The Snake River
The main river running through the Jackson Hole Valley, The Snake River is one of North America's premier cutthroat trout habitats. Originating in Yellowstone and home to the native Snake River Finespot Cutthroat Trout, this river offers exceptional fishing, abundant wildlife viewing and beautiful scenery. The Green River
Originates from the Wind River Mountain Range, South of Jackson Hole. It is a freestone river flowing through the high desert and plains of Southwest Wyoming. Home to brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout, it provides excellent opportunities for dry fly and wet fly fishing. The Green River is usually the first river to clear after the snow melt.The Gray Drake hatch usually brings up some large fish and other hatchers offer some great dry fly fishing. The New Fork River
A small freestone river that originates North of Pinedale, Wyoming and eventually joins the Green River. Not as big as the Green, the New Fork has an intimate feel as it winds its way through grassy meadows, ranch lands and looking trenches. Large cottonwood and willow trees offer shade and attract wildlife. Fisherman have an opportunity to catch brown trout, rainbow and brook trout. The New Fork is a streamer fisherman's paradise. Like the Green, the New Fork largely depends on the snow pack for water so call early for the best time to fish.
The Salt River
Is a small river Southwest of Jackson that meanders through Star Valley, Wyoming. For over 20 miles it provides the opportunity to fish for brown, rainbow and Snake River Cutthroat. The brown trout usually stays in Palisades Reservoir until Fall spawn. The Salt is surrounded mountains, and flows through ranch and farm land. Come and discover this little known but surprisingly great trout habitat.
